The Author and Illustrator of Springer's Journey are available for school visits.

The book explores themes of environmentalism, conservation and grief and loss. Presentations for younger groups include lots of breaks and stretching as well as photographs of Springer and the characters from the book. Older students can choose from topics about bookwriting, illustrating or publishing. Advanced presentations for secondary students or adults cover complex ideas such as theme, psychology, choice of language and story development.
